The bar is a 20' and just clears the grill if you fit it at the lower position because the grill slopes back as it goes up to the hood. I know it is not the perfect spot to fit light bar behind grill, but it does throw a lot of light, and you don,t know its there. Positioned the light bar at the very bottom, sitting on top of the front bumper bar this seemed to let light bar line up with holes on grill. Then remove front grill, there are two upright supports for the radiator, I drilled two holes through these to mount the light bar. To get to back of headlight connector remove top of air filter box, very easy and this makes put headlight plug and play easy to install. It looks very neat, then just unscrew negative jump start terminal next to this and place negative power lead under this, and screw back down.Done you now have power for you lights. I got power supply by lifting up the positive jump start terminal under the hood and tucking the positive connector under the nut that holds the positive terminal for jump start. and a wiring loom that connects to the headlight high beam connector behind your headlights. If you get a good light bar they will supply plug and play wiring harness that has a switch for enabling the lights inside the car.

My dad has gotten eBay bars for the golf cart and Razr, they are impressively bright but not sure how they would perform on open roads at speed.Hi I have done this install hidden light bar behind grill. The cheapest 20 inch BD makes is $500 and I'm not spending that. Just wanted to know what bar is the best value. Now that I know it's possible to mount something behind the grille I'm definitely in. It's so close to the ground it can't see over small humps and dips and it casts shadows. The fog lights aren't the best location to get functional lighting.

I've been seriously impressed by the quality of the Baja Designs lights, and am a lighting geek, so I wanted to get the light bar but it's not very subtle. They also make a light bar that mounts in front of the grille, that you can then mount something like my Squadron Sports or a LED bar. I ordered my kit through Rally Innovations though, $240 out the door. Rally innovations sells a bracket, it might even be made by BD to be honest, not sure. What light bars are you guys using, something off eBay? Or a expensive one? I recently did a fog light conversion to Baja Designs Squadron Sports.
